Mjah had het hier al ergens eerder gezegd dat Crystal Castles zo goed was hé, maar tegenwoordig is dat het enige cdke in m’nen auto – met gevolg dat ik ondertss ook al een aantal aanhangers heb…
Nee maar ff serieus – xat van de week in den auto
en ‘t laaste lieke van op hunne cd sloeg bij mij in als een bom! Totaal verbaasd – als ge’t laaste lieke met ‘t derde fzo vergelijkt… Wereld van verschil! Maar o-zo-schoon… Tell me what to swallow… De video is door een fan gemaakt, want zelf zitten ze nog niet echt uptodate met hun video’s, neemt niet weg dat het een schitterend nummer is…
Ze zetten zichzelf in het muziek-kaderke “Thrash” & op Wikipedia worden ze dan weer onder “Electronic / Dance Punk / Noise” gezet… Hmm heb er dus zelf ook ni echt een gedacht van waaronder ze te klassere… schitterend dus!…
& blijkbaar hebben ze nogal wat problemen met Copyrights & I quote Wikipedia;

Copyright disputes

In mid-2008, Crystal Castles were involved in two controversies related to artwork permissions and samples in their earliest unreleased songs. Pitchfork Media and The Torontoist published stories about Crystal Castles’ use of Trevor Brown’s artwork without permission. The image, depicting a black-eyed Madonna, was used by the band on merchandise. The issue was resolved after the band bought the rights to use the image from Brown.

Also, in Kath’s earliest demos, he incorporated samples taken from the chiptune community without permission; the tracks were released on the MySpace page of their label, Lies Records, without credit to the original sampled songs. One such track, “Insecticon”, uses chopped up samples from a song by Lo-bat called, “My Little Droid Needs a Hand” (released under a Creative Commons license),. Another includes the song “Love and Caring”, which samples the kick and snare from Covox’s “Sunday”. Pitchfork published an article in defense of the band, saying that the band had never released the songs nor performed them and thus were not responsible for breaking the Creative Commons licensing on the songs.
